Accelerated Charter Elementary School opened in 2004 to provide a very unique and different learning environment from traditional school settings for students in kindergarten through 5th grades. The school is a dual language school, which provides 50% of classroom instruction in Spanish and 50% in English. The curriculum is project based, thus providing students with more individualized lesson plans.

The school utilizes the Gomez & Gomez Dual Language Enrichment model, which aids students in developing both English and Spanish skills along with multicultural and self-expression skills. The school offers some great after school programs to help students succeed including the Arts, Science, Math, Spanish, Language Arts, and English.

Along with core subjects, the school offers a few extra curricular activities, which include crochet, cricket, sign language, African drumming, photography, ballet, folklorical, and computers.

Parents are very pleased with the success rate of the students that attend Accelerated Charter Elementary School. They expressed that their children are learning in both English and Spanish and doing very well. The small class size is amazing allowing teachers to work with students on a one on one basis, which makes it feel more like home than a school. Teachers and staff work with parents and students and always welcome parent involvement.

Students at Accelerated Charter Elementary School participated in the California Standards Tests. Second graders showed results that were higher than state averages, while 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders were below average, but close to meeting state standards in most courses.
