Ambassador Academy opened in 2007 to provide an education to students in kindergarten through 5th grades. The charter school is located in Phoenix with a staff that works toward the development of not only excellence in all academic endeavors but also to build leadership skills and strong character.

All classes and courses taught at Ambassador Academy meet or exceed state standards. In the majority of instances, all classes re advanced with student involvement. There are no extra curricular activities at the school such as sports or special programs for children to build social interaction via sports team play. On the other hand, the classrooms are small with many classes only having ten students and teachers are very involved in a more one on one learning environment. Teachers work with students to get them involved in the classroom with a more individualized curriculum. Teachers and staff also work with parents to ensure the parents know if their students are on target or falling behind.

Students are excelling at Ambassador Academy and parents are thrilled with the progress their children are making after coming here from other schools. The student-involved curriculum is working with children interested and attentive in classes and teachers willing to work with each child to ensure they succeed in all endeavors.

The state of Arizona provides the Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards known as AIMS to test students in reading and mathematics in 3rd through 8th and 10th. Not all grades are available as the Ambassador Academy was growing at the time and not all grades were available at the time of the testing.

3rd graders were tested with 75% meeting or exceeding the requirements set forth by the state with the state average being 76%, and in math the percentage of students at Ambassador Academy, receiving a passing grade was 83% with the state average being 68%.
