The AmeriSchools Academy opened their Yuma campus in 1998 for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The schools works with parents, students, and the community to provide the best educational tools that exceed the core subjects. The curriculum offers a challenging academic and college preparatory program that ensure students are prepared for college or for entering the workforce.

The school offers special education to students that need the extra help as well as small class size that provides a more one on one nurturing environment.

Extra curricular activities at the Yuma campus include computer arts, chorus, drawing, and theater. The languages offers include Spanish and Japanese. Sports available include sports basketball, cheerleading, football, field hockey, gymnastics, P.E. classes, swimming, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and yoga. Special programs include science & technology, yearbook, community service, student government, newspaper, and academic contests.

Every year the school offers an annual parent survey to learn if the school is performing up the standards of parents. The school received an overall satisfaction rate of 98%. The school strives to meet the needs of all students as well as work with parents to ensure every child is achieving his or her goals and exceeding in all he or she endeavors.

All students in the state of Arizona that are enrolled in grades 3rd through 8th grades are evaluated yearly via the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards. The percentages listed below are of students that met or exceeded the requirements set forth by the state of Arizona along with the state average of students across the state that met or exceeded the requirements.

In reading, 3rd graders scored 81% and the state 76% and in math 81% with the state at 68%.

4th grade exceeded state averages in reading with a 91%, science with a 65%, writing with a 92%, and math 87%.

5th grade was just below state averages in reading with 75% and state average at 79% and in writing 50% with state average at 77%. In math, more students passed the test with 67% and the state average at 63%.

Sixth grade students did very well in reading with a 94% with the state average being 81%, in writing with 75% and the state average at 56%, and in math with 88% and the state average at 59%.
