Aspire Benjamin Holt College Preparatory Academy opened in 2003 in Stockton. The school offers individualized lesson plans for students in 6th through 12th grades. The school empowers students with the skills needed to achieve academic success all the way into their college years. Aspire Benjamin Holt College Preparatory Academy is part of the Aspire Public Schools, which is rated among the top performing schools in the US. The school provides low-income families with a quality education option.

Every student attending the Aspire network of schools are providing students with the skills they need to be able to meet all the requirements to enter a college or university upon graduation. One of the programs that is helping students succeed is the College for Certain education which has 12,000 students, with the student body being 85% Black and Latino with 80% of student coming from low-income families that have not had a family member enter college.

The Aspire Benjamin Holt College Preparatory Academy uses a variety of teaching methods known as strategies, which include distributed practice, massed practice, inquire, project based instruction, explicit instruction, apprenticeship, and problem solving. Along with core subjects, the school offers drama, band, drawing, physical education classes, volleyball, tennis, student council, yearbook and science & technology.

Most parents are happy with the teachers at Aspire Benjamin Holt Preparatory Academy. A few are not as happy with administration as they are the teachers and the classroom. The school is strict and adheres to uniform rules and proper behavior at all times. Some parents believe this is a bit more than is needed, while other parents are very pleased with the rules and safe environment for their children to attend a caring and nurturing school.

A look at the California Standards Tests has most students across all grade levels and all courses being above state average. There were a few courses below average but only by a small percentage.

In order to make an educated decision if the school is right for your child, you should talk with other parents and take a tour of the school. If you are comfortable then your child will be more comfortable with the learning environment.
