Camino Science and Natural Resources Charter opened in 2011 to provide a challenging standards based curriculum while utilizing a natural resource education. The school uses its surroundings and the community to provide a unique learning environment. The school serves students in kindergarten through 8th grades
The school uses the same principles found at other Camino charter schools, which instills critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication. Students learn in a hands on environment, which is helping many students excel.
The school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or clubs at this time
Parents are happy with the new learning environment and express their children are learning. Students like to go to school and enjoy learning. The unique learning environment is one that parents and students are excited about that is actually helping students in several ways besides academically.
At this time, there is no information on the Academic Performance Index or the California Standards Tests. Since there is not much information at this time on the curriculum, plans for extra curricular activates, and no test scores, it would be in your best interest to take a tour of the school. You should also talk with staff, teachers and other parents to ensure that the school is a good fit for your family and your child before enrolling.
