Capitol Collegiate Academy opened in 2011 for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school offers a college prep curriculum starting in lower grades to instill the desire to receive a quality education at a young age. The school offers small class sizes with dedicated teachers in a safe and nurturing learning environment.
The knowledge learned in this school is taken by students through the remainder of their school years to help them achieve all their goals. The school provides a structured environment with support from caring teachers and quality lessons plans. The curriculum emphasizes reading and math while ensuring students become motivated to attend a university or college.
The school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or clubs.
Parents are very pleased with the curriculum and the way in which the school stresses the importance of a college education starting at a young age. Students enjoy attending school and express just how nice teachers and staff are to them. The only downside expressed by parents and students alike is that there are no activities offered. Students said they would like to see sports offered.
At the time of this writing, there were no reports on the Academic Performance Index or California Standards Tests. It would be in your best interest to learn more about the curriculum and ask about test results prior to enrolling your child to ensure you make the best decision for your child.
