Career Success – Woods Campus Review

Career Success – Woods Campus used to be known as E-cademie – Woods Campus in 2010. Since April of 2010, the school is now known as Career Success Woods Campus and went through a major overall in curriculum and way in which the students learning environment is performed. The school provides a very unique educational opportunity for students in 9th through 12th grades.

The school offers a variety of programs unlike traditional high schools which allows students to create their own schedule and take advantage of the many programs. The programs offered include computers, recording arts, and fitness along with medical assistance, culinary arts, and cosmetology to name a few. Career Success Woods Campus has sports available such as volleyball, football, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, and softball.

The school offers small class sizes with one teacher for every twenty students. Students are required to attend school four days per week with Friday being a today for tutoring and for working on any missed school work.

The school student body is 2% American Indian, 13% black, 83% Hispanic, and 3% White.

The students at Career Success Woods Campus participated in the AIMS series of exams that measures the mastering ability of students in specific courses. Tenth graders in order to graduate from high school must pass or exceed the standards set forth by the state. Twenty six students participated in the reading proficiency exam with 34% falling below the standard, 30% meeting the standard, and 0% exceeding the standard. In math, 30 students participated in the exam, with 86% falling below the standard, 6% meeting the standard, and 0% exceeding the standard.
