Charter School of Morgan Hill opened in 2001 and serves students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school offers community interaction, family involvement, with a project-based curriculum. The school ensures that each student becomes excited about learning and reaching their goals.

Along with core subjects, Charter School of Morgan Hill offers extra curricular activities, which includes chorus, computer arts, drawing, drama, band, and orchestra. The sports offered include physical education classes, soccer, volleyball, and track. The only student club available at this time is science and technology.

Parents really like the school and the unique project based learning. They were amazed at just how much their children are learning without the use of textbooks, of course there are textbooks, but the hands on learning is the center of the curriculum. Students stated they love the cooking classes and the agriculture activities that are not mentioned on the schools website. The teachers are very dedicated and helpful.

The Academic Performance Index showed the academic growth was the same as the previous year at 901.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The percentage of students passing the exams at Charter School of Morgan Hill were all above average across all grade levels and course except for 2nd grade math which was equal to state average at 64%.
