Clayton Valley High School opened in 2012 as a charter school for students in 9th through 12th grades. The school works to provide students for college as well as become productive members of their community. The curriculum is interesting and interaction, which ensures students, can reach their full potential.
Along with core subjects, Clayton High School provides other activities, which include ASB, instrumental music, cheer team, choir, clubs, renaissance, and theater/drama. Sports offered are baseball, cross-country, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse, softball, tennis, swimming, track & field, water polo, and wrestling.
The community as well as parents are happy that the school is now a charter school, which allows for more individual attention. The teachers are very attentive and are helping students achieve a high school diploma. Students stated they like attending the school and teachers are great. They only thing students mentioned they would like to see more of are electives and other computer related activities.
At the time of this writing, the results of the Academic Performance Index, California Standards Tests and the California High School Exit Exams were not available. Before enrolling your child, you should ask to see the results to learn if Clayton Valley High School is meeting state standards.
Since the school has been around for years but is now a charter school it would be good idea to learn more about the school and the curriculum has changed before enrolling your child.
