Community Roots Academy is home in Aliso Viejo opening in 2011 to provide families with an alternative to traditional school settings. The school is a charter school that offers a project-based curriculum for students in kindergarten through second grades.
The school offers a close-knit small school that ensure that each student receives personal attention. In this manner, each student will be able to learn and to grow within their own unique learning style.
As this grade level, most schools do not offer extra curricular activities, sports, or student clubs. Community Roots Academy follows this as well and does not offer other programs.
Parents have nothing but positive comments regarding the school stating it is more like a private school. The teachers are very professional but also encourage students and care whether their students are learning. Administration and staff are amazing. The school may not offer other programs; however, the students said they love the field trips and making new friends.
The Academic Performance Index placed Community Roots Academy at 924. There were no results for the California Standards Tests available at the time of this writing.
The school according to the parent’s remarks and the Academic Performance Index is providing a quality education for students. If you have any concerns you should talk with other parents that have students enrolled to get an idea if the school is a good environment for your child.
