Competitive Edge Charter Academy known as CECA opened in 2011 in Yucaipa to provide students in kindergarten through 8th grades with a alternative to traditional education opportunities. The school strives to ensure that all students develop a sense of pride in their own success along with self sufficiency and international awareness.

The school utilizes the educational program known as Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme on International Baccalaureate as well as a second language blended into their regular school day.

Along with core subjects the school offers student clubs including CECubbies Singers, Color Guard, Kiwanis Builders Club, Kiwanis K-Kids Club, 100 Mile Club, Rising Stars, CESingers, Robotics, Yearbook, Musical & Theatre, CEStudent Leaders, Spanish Culture & Crafts, Travel Club, CJSF, Junior Robotics, and Destination Imagination.

Parents are very pleased with the curriculum, administration, and teachers at Competitive Edge Charter Academy. The environment as explained by parents is one that helps students grow, mature, and learn in a compassionate and caring environment. Students expressed they enjoy attending school and really like the second language that is being taught along with the curriculum.

The test results of the California Standards Tests were not available at the time of this writing.
