CORE Camptonville Academy opened in 1998 to allow families that wish to home school their children with the opportunity to find all the resources as well as personal credentialed teachers to help create a curriculum that fits each child personally. The school offers a traditional text book education that uses the internet, offers extra curricular activities, and community resources. The school serves students in kindergarten through 12th grades. The curriculum is challenging while meeting state standards and providing students with an individualized education program.

Each family will have their own personal assigned credentialed teacher that will work with the students as well as their parents to ensure that every student will excel. At the facility, elementary students can choose other classes from academic to enrichment as well as classes for advanced students. High school students are also offered academic support classes as well as enrichment classes, along with junior college dual enrollment. Students can also participate in events throughout the year including school fairs and field trips.

Along with core subjects, the school offers extra curricular activities for students that wish to participate. Students can join orchestra, computer arts, painting, dance, chorus, film production, drama, photography, and band. Sports available include bicycling, baseball, martial arts, physical education classes, swimming, basketball, cheerleading, fencing, track, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey, cross-country, football, gymnastics, golf, softball, soccer, wrestling, and water polo. Other programs offered at Core Camptonville Academy include academic contests, community service, yearbook, multimedia, student government, and science & technology.

Parents are very pleased with the curriculum and the teachers at the school. Parents cannot believe all the great opportunities the school has to offer for homeschoolers. Students are very happy as they create their own schedule for those that have a job. Both parents and students expressed that the school is doing an excellent job providing the tools needed to succeed.

At the time of this writing, the results of the Academic Performance Index, California Standards Tests and the California High School Exit Exam were not available.
