Covenant Keepers College Preparatory Charter School is an alternative school offering a quality education for students in 6th through 9th grades. The school opened in 2008 and has on average 230 students enrolled per year. The school serves students that are at risk.

The school provides an alternative educational environment for students that are at risk of not graduating high school. The reasons may be due to being behind in credits, truancy, or even holding down a job while attending school. The school offers a nurturing learning environment that will instill civic involvement, tolerance, and thoughtful debate. The college prep program prepares students for the remainder of the educational years.

The school offers block scheduling, mandatory tutoring which centers on test preparation, hands on learning, and more. The curriculum used is the Total Instructional Alignment, which provides an alignment across various standards. The school offers an excellent program known as the Extended Learning Opportunity which provides students that are behind in the studies the opportunity for one on one sessions with teachers. Teachers stay in contact with parents to ensure the success of students including contacting parents if a student is in danger of failing or even for a missed assignment.

Parents are very pleased that the school is offering their children a second chance at learning. Many expressed just how much they like the way the teachers do not give up on students and that they give 100% percent of their attention to ensure the success of every student. The school does expect high standards but is always willing to work with students to help them excel.

The school has not published any test scores besides for parents to view. It would be best to learn the results of the Benchmark exam before enrolling your child. This will give you an idea if the school is meeting state requirements as well as how the school compares with other schools in the area.
