Creative Connections Arts Academy – Elementary opened in 2005 for students in kindergarten through 5th grades. The school offers a standards based curriculum that infuses art into their education scheme.

The school provides a quality education that prepares students for middle school, high school, and beyond. Teachers are dedicated to provide students with all the necessary tools to succeed in safe learning environment.

Along with core subjects, the school offers extra curricular activities, which include band, computer arts, chorus, dance, sculpture, painting, drama, photography, orchestra, and film production. Sports offered include martial arts, gymnastic, physical education, golf, cheerleading, basketball, and yoga. Other programs include science & technology, debate, multimedia, yearbook, community service, newspaper, student council, and academic contests.

Parents are very happy with the progress they are seeing with their children. The school is strict and does not allow bullying of any type. Parents are confident that students are safe and learning in a great and exciting learning environment with caring teachers. Most students really like the school and the teachers while a few are not too happy with the strict rules.

The Academic Performance Index showed the school had a decline in academic growth from 854 to 837. The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams at Creative Connections Arts Academy – Elementary was mainly above average across the board or just a few percentages below state averages.

Overall, the Creative Connections Arts Academy is doing a wonderful job providing students with an exception education. It would still be in your best interest to tour the school prior to enrolling your child to ensure the learning environment would fit your child’s needs.
