Creative Connections Arts Academy – High School opened in 2005 for students in 6th through 11th grades. The school offers an arts based curriculum that allows students the opportunity to express themselves and become life long learners.

The school has quality dedicated teachers that provide an exceptional education in a safe learning environment. Students are provided with many opportunities as well as a more personal learning environment than what is found with traditional school settings.

Along with core subjects, the school offers extra curricular activities, productions, after school clubs, and Lunch Clubs students can join if they wish. The extra curricular activities include ballroom dancing, dragon drama troupe, dance company, Elementary leadership team, high school drama club, Junior & Senior high school student leadership, and yearbook club. The productions include class productions, exploratory productions, and main stage productions. After School Clubs offered are computer science & programming club, film & video club, and peer tutoring club. Lunch Clubs include anime art, chess, fashion, garage band, Latin theater, leadership, photography, science, soccer, and other sports.

Parents are very pleased with the Creative Connections Arts Academy as they are providing their children with a quality education that is blended with the arts. Most parents are truly happy with the school, administration, and teachers. Students enjoy the curriculum, the arts opportunities, and the safe learning environment. Many students expressed their teachers are the best.

The Academic Performance Index was not available at the time of this writing. The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams at Creative Connections Arts Academy – High School was up and down according to the grade level and the subjects. Examples include the percentage of 7th graders that passed the English Language Arts was 78% with the state average at 62% while the percentage of 8th graders that passed general math was 6% with the state average at 32%.

Overall, by parent and student comments the school is doing a good job providing a quality education. It would still be a good idea to visit the school to ensure the learning environment is a good fit for your family.
