Delta Elementary Charter School – Clarksburg opened in 2007 for students in kindergarten through 6th grades. The school offers a very unique learning environment that is family oriented and community based. The school provides individualized learning plans that help ensure that students will learn in the way that fits their personal style.

The school provides students with a campus offering access to sports fields, access to farm or natural areas, auditorium, art room, cafeteria, garden, gym, library, music room, performance stage, outdoor learning lab, and playground.

The curriculum is project based with accelerated reader programs available. Along with cores subjects Delta Elementary Charter School in Clarksburg offers extra curricular activities including drama, painting, photography, sculpture, dance, chorus, orchestra, band, and computer arts. Sports available include football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, softball, track, volleyball, physical education classes, and baseball. The Academic Performance Index showed academic growth from 749 to 799.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams at Delta Elementary Charter School – Clarksburg was mixed according to the grade level and subjects. Examples of percentages of students passing the exams are 65% of 2nd graders passed the English Language Arts exam with the state average at 58% and 50% of 5th graders passing the math exam with the state average at 65%.
