e-Institute at Buckeye opened in 2011 as an alternative to public education. The school provides a computer based program for students in 9th through 12th grades that meets Arizona state standards as well as provides a quality education. The school offers guided practice, educational assessment, remedial course studies, enhancement course studies along with traditional courses such as reading, writing, math prep course.
The school offers a learning environment in which students can learn at their own pace whether they want to graduate early or need to catch up on credits. The school hours are 2 four hour sessions Monday through Friday.
All courses are computer based with feedback to students reported immediately so each student can see their own progression. Students have a teacher and an academic advisor to help with outlining and completing their studies in order to graduate from high school.
The school offers the basic curriculum with core subjects including social studies, science, math, language arts, AIMS prep, fine arts, and electives. The curriculum offered at e-Institute at Buckeye includes Building Vocabulary, Civics, Cooperative Education/Work Experience, Elements of Reading 1 thru 3, Elements of Writing 1 thru 3, Fitness/PE, Language Usage, Math Skills 1 & 2, Pre-Algebra, Real World Math, Social Sciences, and Sociology.
Parents are pleased with the curriculum and that their children can do the entire program on the computer with immediate feedback to help their children stay on track for graduation. Teachers and advisors are very helpful and work with students to ensure their reach their goals and receive a high school diploma. Students are very pleased with the school and are happy that they can make up their credits and still graduate on time or even graduate early.
