Forest Charter School opened in 2000 for students in kindergarten through 12th grades. The school offers a variety of teaching methods and learning models that ensure that each student receives a quality education that will prepare them for college or to join the workforce upon graduation.
The programs offered include individualized lesson plans, support for home schoolers, cooperative classes, block classes with small group instruction, online courses, tutoring, ROP, High School Global Studies Academy, Work Experience Education, and community college courses.
At this time, the school does not offer extra curricular activities, sports, or student clubs; however, field studies and various field trips are scheduled each year.
Parents are very pleased with the opportunities the school offers for students to learn and to succeed. The needs of every student are discovered and met which is a huge plus. Students stated they really enjoy the various learning styles and opportunities. High school students expressed they like the dual enrollment in community college while they are working toward graduating high school.
The Academic Performance Index, California Standards Tests, and the California High School Exit Exam were not available at the time of this writing.
Forest Charter School according to parents and students is providing an exceptional education that is helping students prepare for the ever-changing world. To ensure the school is best for your child it would be in your best interest to learn the test results of the various state administrated exams as well as talk with other parents that have students enrolled before enrolling your child.
