Intelli School opened their Paradise Valley charter school in 1995 as an alternative to public education. The school is computer driven for students with learning disabilities or those that are at risk of completing high school. The school does not offer any electives, extra curricular activities or sports. The school works with students to achieve their high school diploma.
The school offers 3 four-hour sessions daily, so students have the opportunity to attend school that fits them better and learn on a self paced schedule.
Parents are very pleased with the chance for their children to attend a school that works on the core subjects and prepares students for college or the workforce. Of course, since the school is computer driven, it is up the student to work and to stay on target to graduate. Teachers are there to help but they are not there to make students do their work. Teachers and staff are helpful and work with each student on a personal level.
The percentage of students that passed the AIMS series of tests is below the state average with only 9% passing in science and 8% in math. If you plan to enroll your child in the school, you must realize that your child must be willing to put forth the effort to graduate and ask for help when needed.
