KIPP Delta Elementary Literacy Academy is a public charter school providing an alternative education for students in pre-kindergarten through 4th grades. The school is part of the KIPP Delta School group that is giving students a college prep curriculum in a caring and nurturing environment.

The school offers a strict environment that is also caring and nurturing. Bullying of any kind is not allowed which aids in providing students with a safe and secure facility for learning.

Parents expressed they love the school for a variety of reasons from the small class size to the caring teachers. The school has fewer interruptions and offers a very nice nurturing environment, which is more like home than a school. The rigid curriculum is perfect to help students reach goals and become ready for the remainder of their educational years.

Field trips are just as much a part of learning as the text books, which provides students with more hands on learning than other schools in the area. Most of the parents expressed just how well their children are doing at the school and even at home. They are eager to go to school and talk about all they learn when they return home. The personal attention students receive from teachers is above and beyond the call of duty of teachers. The only downside is the lack of physical education classes, sports, and clubs. The majority of parents would like to see a few more sport programs or clubs for students to participate in along with the great academics offered at KIPP Delta Elementary Literacy Academy.
