The Millennium Charter School is part of the Tracy Learning Center, which is comprised of three charter schools serving students in kindergarten through 12th grades. The Millennium opened in 2004 with a 9th grade class and added a grade each year until they now serve students in 9th through 12th grades. The school is open year round with a mandatory 5-week summer program.

Along with core subjects, Millennium Charter School offers extra curricular activities, which include theater, painting, photography, film production and computer arts. Sports available include softball, golf, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, physical education classes, and baseball. Other programs and student clubs include yearbook, debate, multimedia, science & technology, newspaper, student government, community service, and academic contests.

Parents all had good remarks regarding the school stating that teachers are very dedicated, the curriculum is excellent, and students are learning at a better level than when they attended other schools. Most students expressed the school is excellent and they are proud to be have the opportunity to attend the school.

The Academic Performance Index showed academic growth from 766 to 772. The statewide goal is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The percentage of students passing the exams was mixed with some above average and other below average. Examples include 69% of 9th graders passed the biology exam with the state average at 60% and 6% of 10th graders passed the algebra II exam with the state average at 42%.

With the comments of parents and the growth in academic performance, the school is providing a quality education. It would still be a good idea to take a tour of the school to ensure the learning environment is one in which your child will excel.
