Students love the way the staff and teachers work with students to help them achieve their goals and ensure they catch up on their credits if they are behind. Parents expressed the staff, teachers are very caring, and nurturing and help students achieve not only their goals but go beyond by challenging them to do their best. A few parents stated that over the last few years the school is not doing as well as did a few years ago often having fights, bullying, and some students receiving better attention than others.
In the state of Arizona, all students must pass the AIMS series of exams in order to graduate high school. Students at mission Academy High School did not do very well. In reading, only 42% passed the exam with the state average at 78%, in science a mere 5% passed with the average 42%, in writing 26% passed with the average being 68%, and in math 12% passed with the state average at 60%.
With such low percentages of students passing the exam, it would be in your best interest to investigate a bit more before enrolling your child as the percentages of students that could graduate were quite a bit below state averages.
