Sonoran Desert School is a charter school offering families in Mesa an alternative to traditional school with a challenging curriculum that is self-paced. The school uses personal instruction as well as computer applications in a close-knit learning environment. The small class size aids students in receiving the attention they need to achieve their goals and a quality education.

The school offers one on one instruction with a curriculum that focuses on feedback, practice, and preparing for tests. The accelerated program allows students to work on three classes and earn six credits per year. Computers are provided for students to create presentations or research to write reports.

The school is perfect for students that want a personal learning experience with dedicated teachers with a challenging curriculum. Teachers strive to ensure that students are treated with respect while learning in a positive environment. The school offers along with core subjects, accelerated credit learning, gifted, high performing, honors track, and advanced placement courses with an emphasis on technology.

Along with the above the school administration works to provide students with extracurricular activities which include instrumental music lessons, poetry, creative writing, drawing, photography, painting, golf, and student clubs including student council and National Honor Society.
