Transitional Learning Center Charter School opened in 2001 to serve adults that wish to obtain their high school diploma. The school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or clubs as it only focuses on academics. The school is open year round.
Those that are attending the school are very pleased with the opportunities the school offers for adults. Teachers and staff are very caring and helpful as explained by students.
The Academic Performance Index was not available. The statewide goal is 800.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
Since the school is only for adults, the exams are not given to students. The number of students receiving their diploma was not available at the time of this writing.
It would be a good idea before enrolling to learn more about the number of students that are achieving their diploma.
