Valley Academy is a charter school that opened in 2000. The school provides an exceptional learning environment for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. The school expects high academic as well as behavioral standards from all staff members as well as students. The school offers an extended school day, small class sizes, and an introduction to keyboarding and foreign languages at an early age.

The school prides itself on being a back to basics school with its creation being a blend of parents and teachers. Parents work alongside faculty to ensure the learning environment is caring, nurturing, and supportive at all times. The school uses a curriculum with the basis on classical, direct instruction, Saxon math, Spalding phonics, and standards based. Along with core subjects the school offers extra curricular activities, sports, and student clubs which include drama, dance, painting, chorus, computer arts, band, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, gymnastics, football, soccer, softball, volleyball, science & technology, multimedia, yearbook, newspaper, and student council.

Parents love the back to basics school atmosphere that encourages students to become productive members of society with focuses on citizenship. Students actually say the Pledge of Allegiance! The school is structured, has homework every day, and is a great school to help students succeed and become responsible individuals. Another parent expressed just how fast her child is learning and enjoying school. Teachers expressed that the school and the administration is wonderful. The educational tools provided help them ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education.

Looking at the AIMS series of exams shows that the percentage of students passing the exams are above average in every grade and in all core subjects with most percentages being 90% or greater.
