Valley Charter Middle opened in 2011 to serve students in 6th though 8th grades with hands-on, experience-based curriculum that focuses on the whole child. The school ensures the needs are met of a multi cultural diverse student body with personal attention that will help each student grow emotionally, academically, physically, and socially.
At this time, the school does not offer any extra curricular activities, student clubs, or sports, but does offer a variety of events throughout the year.
The majority of parents are thrilled with the small class size and the dedication teachers have for students. The hands on approach is wonderful where students truly get to learn and enjoy learning. Students are very happy with their teachers but would like to see some sports and clubs to join.
The Academic Performance Index was 780. The statewide goal is 800. Parents are not that concerned, as they know their children are receiving a high quality education.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams was not available at the time of this writing.
According to parents, the school is providing an exceptional education in a safe and nurturing learning environment. To ensure the school is the best fit for your child, you should take a tour before enrollment.
