Should I spend a lot of time learning this when I can do it simpler with WordPress?

Aren't most of the img attributes best set using CSS?

Elements, Attributes and Tags

  • HTML consists of Tags, Elements, and Attributes
  • A start tag consists of an opening angle bracket (<) followed by the element name, zero or more space separated attribute/value pairs, and a closing angle bracket (>).
  • An element commands the browser what to express
  • An attribute defines the element.
  • Some elements had and ending, others don't.

Elements, Attributes and Tags
