57/100 is obviously 57 per cent you don't need to further complicate it by dividng 57 by a hundred. 1 percentile is 1/100 so you do not need to do any further calculations

Fractions, Decimals, and Percents

  • You can write a percent in different forms, such as a ratio, a fraction, and a decimal.
  • The word “of” signals multiplication, and the number that follows “of” is the denominator or divisor.
  • To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the numerator by the denominator.
  • To convert a decimal to a fraction, place the digits over their corresponding place value, then simplify if necessary. For example: 0.3 = 3/10, 0.03 = 3/100, 0.003 = 3/1000.
  • To convert a decimal to a percent, move the decimal to the right two places.

Write 58% as a fraction.

  • 58% = [58/100] =

[29/50]

Write 90% as a fraction

  • 90% = [90/100] =

[9/10]

Write 75% as a fraction

  • 75% = [75/100] =

[3/4]

Write [4/25] as a percent.

  • [(4 ×4)/(25 ×4)] =
  • [16/100] =

16%

Write [7/20] as a percent.

  • [(7 ×5)/(20 ×5)] =
  • [35/100] =

35%

Write 0.4 as a percent.

  • 0.4 ×100% =

40%

Write 0.09 as a percent.

  • 0.09 ×100% =

9%

Write 30% as a decimal and a fraction.

  • As a decimal: 30% ÷ 100% =
  • 0.3
  • As a fraction: 30% = [30/100] =

[3/10]

Write [6/15] as a decimal and a percent.

  • As a decimal: 15|  6.0   =
  • 0.4
  • As a percent: 0.4 ×100% =

40%

Write 43% as a fraction and a decimal.

  • As a fraction: 43% = [43/100]
  • As a decimal: 43% ÷100% =

0.43

55 adults

A group of adults were surveyed for their relationship status. 20 were single, 7 were in an open relationship, and 28 were in a closed relationship.
b) What fraction of adults were single?

  • b)[20 single/55 total] =

[4/11]

A group of adults were surveyed for their relationship status. 20 were single, 7 were in an open relationship, and 28 were in a closed relationship.
c) What decimal, to the nearest hundredth, of adults were in an open relationship?

  • c)[7 open/55 total] =
  • 55|  7.000   =

0.13

A group of adults were surveyed for their relationship status. 20 were single, 7 were in an open relationship, and 28 were in a closed relationship.
What percent, to the nearest ones place, of adults were in a closed relationship?

  • 55|  28.00   =
  • 0.51 ×100% =
