I have few examples on simulation and solving problems on different subjects, but we wanted to keep it general, if you have specific question on that matter you can ask me and I try to find some resources or maybe do a small lecture.

MATLAB Essentials, Part 1

  • MATLAB stands for MATrix LABoratory, MATLAB is called that because it is easier to use MATLAB on matrices and array of numbers and that is the first intention of the developers.
  • Interactive use: MATLAB is an interactive environment, by that we mean you can write a command, push enter and MATLAB execute that line for you.
  • MATLAB programming: there are two golden rules to write a successful program:
    1. Correct syntax: or know what commands should be used and what is the correct way of using them.
    2. Having a logical plan of attack for the question in hand, in other words you need to have a flow chart to attack your problem. Flow chart should have basic steps and includes possible pitfalls and bugs.

MATLAB Essentials, Part 1

Lecture Slides are screen-captured images of important points in the lecture. Students can download and print out these lecture slide images to do practice problems as well as take notes while watching the lecture.
