Microbiology Ebola
Lecture Description
In this lesson, our instructor Catherine Carpenter gives an introduction on ebola. She explains the recent ebola cirus outbreak distribution, the ecology, infection, symptoms, and timeline of symptoms. She then discusses ebola virus characteristics, morphology of helical ebola virus, the virus structure, RNA virus replication, entry into the body, immune reaction, host immune response to Ebola, and the pathogenisis. Lastly, she covers how contagious ebola is, transmission, ebola in healthcare settings, and treatment of ebola.
