Geometry Trapezoids and Kites
Lecture Description
For this lesson, we are going to go over two more types of quadrilaterals, which are trapezoids and kites. A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides. We know that this is not a special type of parallelogram, because parallelograms have two pairs of parallel sides. The key word here is 'a quadrilateral with one pair', and this will help you distinguish parallelograms, trapezoids, and kites. You'll learn more about an isosceles trapezoid, and the theorems regarding that trapezoid. This lesson also covers kites. They are quadrilaterals with two pairs of adjacent congruent sides.
